Born 1959 in Tappenbeck, Lower Saxony.
Frank Burnautzki joined Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg as vocational trainee for power electronics in 1975 and has been with the Volkswagen Group ever since.
Studying part time, he qualified as an electrical engineer (CCI) in 1986 and master professional (CCI) of technical management in 1997.
From 1986 to 1994, Frank Burnautzki worked as an electrical designer in Volkswagen robot development in Wolfsburg. In 1994, he switched to Global Sourcing in a procurement role.
His management career began in 2002 in procurement processes and information management, where he headed the e-sourcing department.
In 2007, he moved to Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic to join Skoda, where he was responsible for general Purchasing on the three production sites.
In 2010, he moved back to Wolfsburg and ran machinery and plant procurement for group vehicle manufacturing requirements.
In 2012, he took charge of general Procurement at MAN Truck & Bus in Munich.
In October 2013, Frank Burnautzki was appointed to the Executive Board of MAN Diesel & Turbo in Augsburg with responsibility for the Procurement division.
